How do I make a booking?

Fill your travel requirement, compare the selected transporters based on pricing & ratings and select the transporter you want. You need to confirm your booking by paying the BASE fare for the journey either by way of pre-authorization on your credit card or by payment using your debit card/ net banking.

What is the latest time before my trip I can make the booking?

  • For cabs where your Trip start time is between 12:00 AM – 11:59 AM, the booking has to be made by 6 pm the previous evening.
  • For cabs where your Trip start time is between 12:00 PM – 11:59 PM, the booking has to be made at least 6 hours before.
  • For coach, the booking has to be made at least 12 hours before the trip start time.

Can I cancel a booking? Is there a cancellation fee?

Yes, you can. The charges will be applicable as per the following cancellation policy.

  • If the cancellation is done 24 hours before trip start time journey : Full refund of booking amount
  • If the cancellation is done between 24 and 12 hours before trip start time: 75 % refund of the booking amount
  • If the cancellation is less than 12 hours before trip start time : 50% refund of the booking amount
  • If the cancellation is after the trip start time: Zero refund of the booking amount

How do I get the refund?

Refund on booking advance will be initiated within 3-4 working from date of the request.

To whom do I make the remaining/ extra usage payment for the trip over and above the booking amount?

The payment will be made to the transporter or his representative on completion of the trip.

Who will provide me the invoice?

You will receive the invoice for the booking amount from ihire at the time on confirming the booking. In case of payment made to the transporter you can collect for the amount from the transporter. .

What is meant by the terms "Point to Point" and "Garage to Garage"?

In case of "Point to Point" fare the total distance covered and duration of the trip is calculated from customer’s "Pick-up point" till "Drop point". Whereas in "Garage to Garage" fare the total distance and duration is calculated from and to Transporter’s garage/office/hub from where the vehicle is dispatched.

Why tariffs are not uniform on ihire?

This is the feature of ihire. On ihire platform transporters get full flexibility to decide their own terms and tariffs thus the tariffs are not uniform.

When and how will I get the car details?

The transporter details will be shared by ihire on your registered email, immediately after the booking. Transporter will send the vehicle and driver details to you at least 4 hours before The trip start time.

What if I do not get the vehicle details or the vehicle does not show up at the appointed time?

Can a name card being sent along with the driver?

Yes. Please contact the transporter directly for this and other such special requests.

What are the implications of transporter’s ratings?

Customers’ will rate the transporter based on their experience on the trip. These customers’ ratings are consolidated by ihire. Transporter ratings is dynamic and serves as a guide for the customers at the time of making a booking. Transporters with higher ratings are more preferred as they tend to provide higher customer satisfaction levels.

Can I book for others?

Yes, Please enter the name of the person you are booking for in the passenger details.

Do I have to present anything at the time of pick-up?

Booking ID and passengers ID (Driver's License, Voter ID, Adhaar, PAN, and Passport etc.) should be shown at the time of pick-up.

What is the eligibility to hire a self-drive car?

It is mandatory to have a valid driving license issued in India or with permission to drive in India. The eligibility like age etc may vary from transporter. Please read transporters terms before making a booking.

What documents are need to be shown at the time of pick-up receiving the self-drive car?

Customer should carry an original driving license, credit card, original photo ID and booking details.

Do I have to sign any rental agreements?

Yes. As per the law, all self-drive customers will have to sign a rental agreement with the transporter.
